Medela microwave sterilizing bags are safe and practical. The disinfection produced by the steam generated during the process eliminates 99.9% of germs. Also ideal for use when you are away from home. Each bag can be used 20 times. Microwave sterilization bags are a quick solution to disinfect pump parts and accessories, bottles, nipples, pacifiers, and cups. They can be used practically anywhere. You only need access to a microwave and clean water.

Recommended Use

Disassemble the items you want to disinfect into their individual parts and thoroughly rinse all parts with cold water. Add 60 ml of water to the bag and place the parts to be disinfected inside the bag, without overfilling it. Heat the bag according to these heating times: 1.5 minutes at +1100W; 3 minutes at 800-1100W; 5 minutes at 500-750W. Carefully remove the hot bag from the microwave using oven mitts or gloves. First, pour out the hot water from the bag through the spout. Then carefully open the bag and remove the parts from inside. Dry each part with a clean towel. The same bag can be used up to 20 times.

Warnings: use only with microwave-safe plastics. Do not use less than 60ml of water in the bag. Do not place the bag in conventional ovens or grills, nor on the metal rack that is part of some microwaves.
