Resveratrol is a phytonutrient, specifically a polyphenol, with an extraordinary protective action on the body against free radicals.
It is a component of the grape skin and seed, found in large quantities in red wine, but other sources of Resveratrol exist, such as peanut skin and other fruits, but particularly Japanese Knotweed (Polygonum cuspidatum), a plant that presents high concentrations of this natural antioxidant.
