Compact and lightweight: The Solo™ pump is easy to slip into a pocket or carry thanks to its lightweight, compact design and built-in rechargeable battery. Combined with the breast milk collection cup that can be worn under clothing, it gives you mobility when you need it most.

Recommended Use

This small but powerful pump has 9 adjustable vacuum levels, keeping your pumping comfortable. With Medela’s trusted 2-Phase Expression^® technology, it mimics babies’ natural sucking rhythms – faster at the start to stimulate milk flow, slower afterward to feed – for comfortable and effective milk expression.

Vacuum is applied to the breast through a tube connection to the pump. The airflow between the pump and the Hands-free cup generates a vacuum applied to the breast for milk expression mode. The milk is then collected in the cup, and once pumping is finished, the expressed milk can be poured from the cup into a bottle or storage bag. The Hands-free collection cup is not intended for milk storage.
